The views were breathtaking, especially from the breakfast room overlooking the harbor. My family enjoyed visiting the nearby Glengarriff Golf Club, and our teenagers loved the spa treatments. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by the plush bathrobes in the room.

In my wife’s opinion, the food options were disappointing. She felt like there should be a better dining experience for families. the restaurant menu lacked variety and quality for what we expected.

The hot tub and sauna were super relaxing! The stunning bathroom truly made our stay feel special. We had an upgraded sea view room that was simply breathtaking.

The Eccles Hotel's dining scene was a highlight—enjoying a scrumptious steak cooked to perfection (for the most part) at dinner and an incredible sweet that stole the show at breakfast! Plus, the staff definitely won some points for their friendliness and helpfulness throughout our stay.

However, the room was snug, and some corners felt like they needed a bit more love—especially the moldy windows and dusty brass fixtures. You’d think with the price tag, they'd polish those details up a bit!

The location is stunning, providing beautiful views over the Atlantic and Garnish Island. The room was clean and comfortable, with an adequate setup for my work needs. Notable was the dinner, which was exceptional with creative menu options and attentive service, particularly from staff member Becky.

Eccles Hotel And Spa has a delightful character with its polished wood and lovely mosaic work. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, complemented by stunning views from the terrace overlooking Garinish Island, perfect for enjoying a peaceful afternoon.

More comfortable seating in common areas would be appreciated.

i recently stayed in glengarriff and was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff exceeded my expectations as we enjoyed great food, including delicious homemade bread at breakfast. the relaxing hot tub and beautiful views over the bay made our two-night stay truly special.

room needed more maintenance

our stay at eccles hotel and spa was fantastic! the location is perfect for amazing photos of the blue pool and nearby glengarriff woods. we especially loved the attentive service during dinner, where the food was absolutely delicious! a visit to the onsite spa for a massage was the cherry on top.

Had a great time with friends! The location is perfect for outdoor activities. We visited the beautiful harbour and enjoyed a round at the local golf club. Just a heads up for future guests, check the spa availability in advance, as some amenities may require reservations.

The reception experience was a bit off. We had to wait longer than expected for check-in, which was frustrating after a long journey.

I really enjoyed the breathtaking views of Bantry Bay from my room, which made my stay truly special. The hotel has a wonderful old world character, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh pastries and a superb made-to-order selection. However, the decor in some common areas could use a refresh to match the charm of the rooms.

The room offered easy access for my elderly mother, and I appreciated the prompt responses from the hotel staff regarding our needs. The food was exceptional, particularly the extraordinary dishes served during dinner. However, the room felt cramped with low ceilings, making it uncomfortable for my tall husband. Breakfast was poorly managed with long wait times, limited food options, and cold plates. Overall, the experience left much to be desired in terms of value for the price paid compared to our previous stay elsewhere.

Beautiful room, beautiful view, with a comfortable family room that was spacious and well-equipped with cozy beds and a stocked tea and coffee station.
